Clinical prediction rule for RAS

    I've never used a prediction rule, though its an interesting idea. Perhaps a good topic for a Combined Cardiology case conference (especially if you have a patient in mind).

    My general impression after reading these abstracts: to show a prediction rule performs well in a derivation dataset is one thing. To show the same rule performs well in an independent validation sample is quite another, and much more difficult. None of these studies appear to valdiate performance of their prediction rule in an indepedent sample.sample before using the rule clinically.
